While this looks to be a spectacular beach to visit, and the colours of the sky in this particular shot of it looks absolutely stunning. The island's distinct lack of detail in the shot really drains any and all interest the rest of the image generates.
It's supposed to be the focal point, but as it is now it's just a big black blob. The lack of detail lets this shot down. If you shot in raw, try to bring out some of the details in edit. I also think the sand could do with some lightening, make this look like a tropical paradise with white sand beaches and you're onto a winner.
This is too good for words! The sunset combines two very different colors of the sky, pink and bright blue. Though the clouds remain purple in the overall picture. The sunset is most evident in the pink, the left side of the photograph, though there is a hint of pink in the right blue side. There is a slight hint of red, orange, and golden light. The small mound of earth appears to be separating the two distinct colors. The two different colors seem to be blending in well to create an ideal image for a Kelambu beach sunset here!
I disagree with the critique, I think the island adds to the scenery. It's as though the island is a spectator to the magnificence as well. But how did you do this!? I like it but I'm not sure how you got those colors.
